Jose Canseco can’t escape from nightmares about steroids

The former professional baseball player Jose Canseco has said that he experiences nightmares related to steroids. He has reported that he has started to experience nightmares from the time of writing the book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant Roids, Smash Hits and How Baseball Got Big”. This book described administration of steroids by certain MLB players. The author has stated on his Twitter account that nightmares linked with steroids hunt him since he wrote the book. Moreover, he continues to have them till today. The former professional baseball player compares them with a demon who never sleeps.
The former professional baseball player has called himself the “godfather of steroids in baseball”. He noticed in his book about administration of steroids by certain MLB players quite openly. This work was tuned out to be a bestseller. ”The godfather of steroids in baseball” has noted names of the players who have used anabolic steroids. Jose Canseco stated that he had been pushed out of professional baseball due to his book.
The former professional baseball player named such sportspersons, as Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriquez, Jason Giambi and Juan Gonzalez, claiming that they had applied steroids. He also identified Alex Rodriquez and Roger Clemens but he didn’t claim that he had known about intake of steroids by these sportspersons directly.
The most well-known name that has been mentioned by Jose Canseco in his book is the name of the former professional baseball player Mark McGwire who hit 70 homeruns. Canseco reported that McGwire had taken Deca Durabolin and Winstrol, when they played with the Oakland A’s.
Canseco noted that he had injected Mark McGwire with steroids many times in the bathrooms and in other places. He noticed that he injected McGwire before their trainings or after them.
At the beginning no one was inclined to believe that these statements were true. Mark McGwire denied usage of steroids. But later the accusations were proven. Finally Mark McGwire acknowledged that he had taken steroids and HGH. He reported that Jose Canseco had described the truth.
McGwire acknowledged that he had applied prohibited preparations and he had apologized about this aspect. He noted that he was using them during the 90s. Later McGwire has obtained possibility to play baseball professionally again. Mark McGwire was engaged as a St. Louis Cardinals’ hitting instructor.
As for Jose Canseco, he desires to receive the second chance and to return to the MLB. The “Tigres de Quintana Roo” have decided to give the 2nd chance. Jose Canseco hopes that this is his step in direction to the MLB.
