Jane Fonda recommends using steroids to increase sex drive

Jane Fonda is an actress that was born in New York, America. This well-known actress received 2 Academy Awards. This famous woman played the role of the queen in a Franco-Italian science fiction film “Barbarella”.
Jane Fonda said in an interview for “The Sunday Telegraph” that she had administrated the anabolic steroid testosterone. It was her first time, when she made her intake of testosterone public. She is 73 years old. She noted that she had started to use testosterone at the age of 70. Her purpose was to induce her sex drive. The actress desired to improve her sex life.
It is necessary to mention that Jane Fonda was considered to be the sex symbol of 1960s. Lately she published a new book. The title is following: “Prime Time: Love, health, sex, fitness, friendship, spirit-making the most of all of your life”. As you guess, she writes what a person has to do in order to achieve healthy life, healthy sex and to be satisfied the whole life. One of the chapters describes ways to enhance libido in older individuals. She doesn’t make any referencies to steroids.
Jane Fonda said about undesirable effects of the steroid testosterone in the interview for “The Sunday Telegraph”. She told that she had stopped applying testosterone because acnes had troubled her . Nevertheless, the actress recommends taking the steroid testosterone to improve sex life.
It is known that the anabolic steroid testosterone is a good medication for increase of sex drive. But unwanted reactions of this preparation can be quite severe. The Food and Drug Administration didn’t approve this drug to increase sex drive in females. Several persons say that conservative attitudes to female sexuality disturbed the FDA from approval of this drug for female sex drive.

Links between steroids use and nerve cells

You know that steroids are used by a lot of athletes in order to induce muscle size and strength. But according to recent researches, administration of steroids is a too harmful aspect for brain cells. Since these drugs induce amount of testosterone in body, they affect and even kill brain cells. Barbara Ehrlich, a professor, a leader of a research related to steroids use, advices not to condemn steroids users, when they behave aggressively. It is important to understand that it can be not their fault. Steroids must have been responsible for aggressive manners of those who use these preparations.
The study conducted by Yale School of Medicine displayed that testosterone destructed brain cells. One of main functions of testosterone produced naturally is following: to kill brain cells which can be harmful for the whole body due to their destructions. But when level of testosterone is enhanced, it kills not only damaged cells but healthy ones too. It can cause such serious ilnesses, as appearing of Alzheimer's and Huntingdon's disease and others.

Aggressiveness of hamsters due to steroids
Hamsters were enrolled in one of researches published in the journal Behavioral Neuroscience. The scientists involved in the study observed influence of anabolic steroids upon the hamsters. The hamsters that were given these drugs became too aggressive. Their brain activity was changed much due to these preparations.
The scientists made a conclusion that steroids damaged people’s brain the same way as hamsters’ brain. According to their conclusions, people think that steroids are forbidden due to their athletic effects. But people must realize that the chief reason is negative influence of these products on human health. These drugs should be applied only for medical purposes by prescriptions of physicians. Administration of steroids in sports has to be avoided totally.
