Young British motorist blames steroids for hitting another driver in face

However it is not yet displayed scientifically whether “roid rage” is an unwanted result of steroids, these drugs are blamed for several crimes quite frequently.
Michael Barton, a man from Britain, hit a Ford Fiesta, while he was driving his Volkswagen Golf. Paul Gard was driving the Ford Fiesta. Barton had overtaken Paul Gard. But then Michael Barton had to pull back in front of him, since another car was driving the other way. Paul Gard flashed him. Thus, he had to brake suddenly. Barton became raging, stopped his Volkswagen Golf, broke the wing mirror of Gard’s vehicle and hit Gard in the face. Then Gard’s wife called police. While she was calling, Barton drove off calmly.
Michael Barton, a 21-year-old person that has a son of two years old, uses steroids for bulking effects. Thus, it has been said that these products affected his behavior. The defense attorney for this young man affirmed that steroids influenced negatively on temperament of his client, since these products enhanced his levels of testosterone.
Previously Barton was convicted for certain crimes, including domestic violence. Last year this young man pleaded guilty to an assault, criminal damage and driving incautiously because of his anger following assaults.
The judge Patrick Hooton at Portsmouth Crown Court Deputy Circuit confirmed that he was not sure that steroids caused the improper behavior of Michael Barton. But he added that it was totally mad to get angered and hit a man in the face only because he flashed him. The judge noted that Barton’s behavior was very shameful and he announced: “you ought to go to prison”.
So, this person was given 6-month jail sentence suspended for a year; he was also enforced to pay 500 dollars in compensation and ?277 for damage of Paul Gard’s vehicle.

Doping products sent to Wim Vansevenant by Australian company were actually just amino acids

The case connected with the former Belgian rider Wim Vansevenant changed surprisingly. An analysis demonstrated that the doping medications which were ordered by him didn’t contain the contents written on the labels. This former sportsperson was cheated by the company where he ordered the preparations.
Last year several packages sent to Wim Vansevenant by an Australian company were intercepted by customs officials. According to the labels of  the intercepted  bottles,  they contained the doping drug TB-500. It is a peptide hormone which can induce enhancing muscle strength and speed healing. The Belgian authorities started an investigation. It was thought that Wim Vansevenant supplied the Omega Pharma-Lotto team with doping drugs. This athlete rode professionally 10 years, from 1998 to 2008. Last 6 years of the career he was working with this team.
An analysis of the bottles seized by customs displayed that they contained only amino acids. Wim Vansevenant’s lawyer noted that the case had to be dropped. He explained that since the medication was not related to doping, the former sportsperson didn’t deserve to be punished.
Johan Lescrauwaet, the prosecutor’s spokesperson confirmed that the contents didn’t correspond to the name of the preparation which was written on the label and to the words of the former sportsman.
Just amino acids were discovered in the bottles. No any doping drug. Thus, there is no any evidence that Wim Vansevenant provided doping medications to other individuals.
The hearing of the former Belgian professional rider was scheduled to be later.

Roger Clemens doesn’t have increased muscle mass that could demonstrate that he has used steroids

Every baseball fan knows that Roger Clemens is charged with obstruction of justice. It is said that he has lied before Congress about application of steroids and HGH.
Rusty Hardin claimed that there was no any difference in physical appearance of Roger Clemens before, during and after his trainings with the coach Brian McNamee. The attorney confirmed that this factor proved that Roger Clemens hadn’t taken steroids and other related drugs.
Changing in muscle mass is usually utilized by federal prosecutors as proof that an athlete uses steroids or/and other related medications. But this tendency was not utilized during the governmental case against Roger Clemens. No one could claim that muscles of Roger Clemens demonstrated that he had applied steroids and HGH. It is one of differences between the case against Roger Clemens and that against Barry Bonds.
When it comes to the governmental case against Barry Bonds, feds called many individuals in the trial that were able to testify that anabolic steroids led to essential changes in physical appearance of this athlete. They claimed that usage of steroids caused increase of muscle size, enhanced size of the head and testicular shrinkage in Barry Bonds.
Thus, the defense attorney Rusty Hardin showed four pictures of Roger Clemens. The pictures displayed physique of Roger Clemens, including the period of time when Clemens was working with the coach Brain McNamee. The attorney noted that the pictures displayed that there were no changes in physical appearance that could support that he utilized steroids and HGH.
The attorney Rusty Hardin claimed that the pictures displayed just the process of ageing. The masseur Cheryl Redfern also claimed that she didn’t observe any changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens. Roger Clemens had neither back acne, nor abnormal development of breast tissue, nor dramatically enhanced muscles.
Phil Garner a former Major League Baseball player also claimed that there were not any essential changes in physical appearance and performance of Roger Clemens during working with the coach Brian McNamee.
Steve Durham, the Assistant US Attorney tried to discredit the argument about lack of changes in Roger Clemens’ physical appearance during the cross-examination of Phil Garner. He confirmed that while several steroids enhanced muscle mass, others didn’t promote gaining muscles. So, he claimed that the pictures could say nothing about steroid use.
Federal prosecutors want to take advantages in both cases: in the case against Roger Clemens and in that against Barry Bonds. While they claim that physical changes in Barry Bonds display that he has used steroids, lack of physical changes in Roger Clemens doesn’t prove that he hasn’t applied steroids.

Sydney Morning Herald: motorcycle gangs are responsible for illegal intake of steroids in Australia

The newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald” reports that outlaw motorcycle gangs are responsible for spread of illegal steroid use in Australia. The gangs receive significant profit and reduced risks.
The detective Nick Bingham has said that New South Wales Police doesn’t focus on investigation connected with usage of steroids but anabolic steroids become targets of investigations, when outlaw motorcycle gangs are arrested for violation of other laws.
According to the detective Nick Bingham, although New South Wales policemen don’t raid houses of gangs for steroids, they find them, when they conduct searches for weapons and psychostimulant drugs.
Nick Bingham has reported that they ordinarily seize such quantities of steroids from motorcycle gangs that are just for personal intake. Quantities of other products that are usually found in possession of gangs are much greater than those of steroids.
Bingham has claimed that criminals prefer taking anabolic steroids in order to get threatening muscular bodies. They want to look big and strong.
However the detective Nick Bingham is sure that gangs have steroids only for personal application, the newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald” doesn’t agree with this statement. It reports that motorcycle gangs are involved in smuggling of steroids.
However gyms are claimed to be the main sources of steroids for bodybuilders, it is stated by “The Sydney Morning Herald” that certain gyms have close connections with motorcycle gangs. The Herald claims that numerous seizures made by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service are linked directly with distribution of steroids by motorcycle gangs.
According to reports of Australian Customs, mail seizures of steroids have been increased significantly in comparison with past years.
More than 2, 000 seizures were made in 2009-2010 and over 5, 000 seizures of steroids were recorded in 2010-2011.
The majority of seizures were related to personal administration of steroids imported illegally by bodybuilders.

Andre Berto became probably victim of contaminated dietary supplements

The WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto tested positive for Nandrolone. The Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) conducted the drug testing.
Andre Berto had to meet Victor Ortiz on June 23, 2012 in Los Angeles. He agreed to submit to random drug testing before the match. T: E ratio method and carbon isotope ratio testing were used; they both indicated about application of Nandrolone.
It was already the second time this month, when the VADA tested boxers and caught them administering steroids. The first boxer that tested positive this month due to tests conducted by the VADA was Lamont Peterson. He was scheduled to fight against Amir Khan. It is quite ironically that Peterson requested random blood and urine testing. A carbon isotope ratio test conducted by the VADA determined that exogenous testosterone was in this boxer’s system certain weeks before the fight.
Financial position of certain companies was affected due to tests conducted by the VADA. For example, Golden Boy Promotions lost significant potential profit due to positives of Lamont Peterson. It was determined by Richard Schaeffer, the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, that the company lost 250, 000 dollars.
The cancelation of the fight between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz will probably not cost so much because Andre Berto will be possibly replaced by another boxer who will fight against Ortiz.
The boxer Andre Berto didn’t explain why he tested positive. He hired the attorney Howard Jacobs that would represent and defeat him.
Berto claimed that he had never used steroids. Thus, he noted that he investigated with his attorney what could cause positives for steroids. The boxer Andre Berto concluded that he had never cheated; he achieved success in sport because of hard workouts and dedication.
The attorney Howard Jacobs was hired by many other athletes who turned out to be victims of fake dietary supplements.
It is confirmed that since the steroid Nandrolone has too long half life and it is detected easily, it is not very popular among those who dope. But it has been defined many times that several dietary supplements contained the substance nandrolone which led to positives for steroids. But since sometimes not each substance is enumerated on the label, sportspeople become victims of contaminated sport supplements.

Steroid user shot 5 police officers

Law enforcement officials came to Cullen Mutrie for a drug investigation. This person shot 5 police officials at his home. One of them, the Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney,  was killed; other four police officers were seriously injured. The next morning this killer and a woman were found dead.
It is supposed that Mutrie was administering anabolic steroids at the time of the shootout. Jane Young, the New Hampshire Associate Attorney General, claimed that toxicology reports were waiting in order to find out whether metabolites of steroids were in the body of Cullen Mutrie.
Police officers confirmed that Cullen Mutrie had had very muscular appearance. He worked at Genetix Fitness in Seabrook. It was described that he was 6 feet 3 inches tall. Cullen Mutrie weighed 275 pounds. During a raid that was in July 2010 law enforcement officers found anabolic steroids at his home. The police official Wayne Young found them in a coffee table. He said that he had noticed a plastic bag with some vials. A vial was with powder; others contained liquid. The labels indicated that they were steroids.
The vials were analyzed by the New Hampshire State Crime Lab. It was reported that the vials contained such preparations, as Trenbolone Acetate, Sustanon 250, Boldenone Undecylenate and Nandrolone Decanoate.
The professor of kinesiology John Miller was asked whether a link between the crime and “roid rage” of anabolic steroids could present. The specialist affirmed that it was plausible. But according to him, it is impossible to affirm that there was a direct link between usage of anabolic steroids and the shootout.
John Miller supposed that steroids that were on the black market were provided from legitimate pharmaceutical companies. But he has been mistaken because the majority of steroids that are sold on the black market are produced in underground labs. It is even suspected that Cullen Mutrie manufactured steroids.
Since a link between crimes and intake of steroids is a controversial issue, not only police officers but also correspondents investigate the case connected with Cullen Mutrie.

Jordan Matechuk doesn’t want to reveal some confidential circumstances linked with steroid use

Jordan Matechuk, a Canadian football player was busted by the US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP). He was caught having over 540 tablets of oral steroids and more than 260 ml of injectable steroids, when he was returning to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats training camp. Matechuck said that his depression was responsible for the decision to purchase and use anabolic steroids.
Jordan Matechuk noted that he used anabolic steroids and marijuana in order to be able to get rid of his depression. He confirmed that earlier he had taken anti-depressant drugs. Discontinuing administering anti-depressant medications probably resulted in administration of steroids.
Matechuk said that he experienced depression. He started to administer anabolic steroids and marijuana in order to feel better. Matechuk acknowledged that he was responsible for this condition. He wouldn’t have discontinued administering anti-depressant remedies. But he discontinued taking them. This factor led to usage of steroids.
The football player Jordan Matechuk pleaded guilty to possession of steroids and marijuana.
However he faced up to 2 years in jail, he was sentenced to 90 years in prison. But Matechuk was released after he served only 60 days.
Jordan Matechuk reported that there were several other circumstances but he decided to keep them confidential.
The Canadian Football League gave him another chance to play professional football.
He wrote a letter and sent it to each member of the team. He wrote about his shame for the arrest related to possession and administration of steroids. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats didn’t desire to receive the steroid user back to the team.
But the Winnipeg Blue Bombers decided to provide him the second chance. Thus, Matechuk was happily accepted by this team.

Pathologist blames steroids for the death of a teenage

Georgina Howarth, a pathologist, claimed that the death of Mohammed Belkhair, a 19-year guy, had been caused by administration of anabolic steroids. She noted that anabolic steroids had led to heart failure that had resulted in the death.
According to the doctor Howarth, if this teenager had not administered steroids, he would have been alive today. She claimed that usage of steroids was the only cause of the death. Howarth added that the death of this boy was a lesson for every person to stay far from such drugs.
Mohammed Belkhair’s sister found him vomiting in his bedroom on May, 2011. The guy admitted that he had taken steroids. He died at the same day. It was reported that steroids had been found in his system.
According to numerous articles, DHEA and Tamoxifen were 2 steroids that were found in the system of the teenager. DHEA is sold overall in Britain and in the USA.
But in fact, the news is misleading. Tamoxifen doesn’t belong to anabolic steroids. This medication has been originally introduced in order to treat individuals with breast cancer. It has become popular among sportspersons and bodybuilders who utilize steroids because of its ability to prevent aromatization of other medications.
It seems to be strange but nothing was mentioned about arrest of Mohammed Belkhair. This condition might contribute in the death. This boy was arrested on the night before his death by police officials. 4 different anabolic steroids were found in the room of this person. But the names of the steroids were not mentioned.
Although the police encounter and arrest occurred several hours before the death of this boy, the doctor Georgina Howarth didn’t investigate these conditions. Furthermore, she didn’t provide any explanation about this aspect. Police released nothing as well.
Since it was reported that Mohammed Belkhair had ordered steroids per internet, the news connected with risks of purchasing steroids per internet were spread in the country. So, it turned out to be convenient for changing the laws in order to make purchases of steroids per internet illegal in Britain. The British government plans to make personal import of steroids per mail and per internet criminal. It will be in near future. However it is said that these amendments will be enacted before the 2012 Olympic Games, they are not still enacted.

Dana White affirms that it is impossible to test 375 UFC athletes continually

Dana White, the UFC President, tries to defend UFC efforts against application of performance-enhancing drugs.  The UFC President confirms that the UFC struggles seriously to push doping products out of sports. He confirms that they do more than any other sport organization for this need.
Unluckily, statements of Dana White are claimed only for public relations purposes. They are completely false. The UFC doesn’t do more than any other sport organization, fighting against usage of forbidden substances.
White confirms that it is not possible to perform random drug testing in the UFC. This person says that they have 375 sportspersons under contract. The UFC President notes that it is impossible to perform random tests because these sportspersons live everywhere; they travel around the world. Dana White finds it unreal to travel in various countries, seeking these 375 individuals, in order to test them continually.
While Dana White confirms that it is impossible to perform random drug testing of 375 UFC fighters, other sport organizations do it with their athletes. They perform random testing with success.
It isn’t wholly clear what happens actually. Does Dana White want to mislead media about usage of banned medications in the UFC? Or is he ignorant completely, when it comes to the laws of the World Anti-Doping Agency?
The CEO of the US Anti-Doping Agency claims that the UFC does everything in order to avoid following the laws of the WADA. They have own points of views and fight against the WADA rules. However the UFC affirms that they try to protect their sports from usage of banned products by the WADA laws, the reality displays that it is not true. The UFC rules are miserable in comparison with those of the WADA. Be reasonable!

Results of the investigation “Operacion Skype”

Mossos d’Esqudra and Spain’s Policia Nacional conducted a steroid investigation that led to arrest of 10 persons that were implicated in a steroid ring. These persons provided top amateur and professional sportspeople and even Olympic athletes with anabolic steroids, HGH, EPO, CERA and other related medicines.  The operation was called “Operacion Skype”. The steroid ring was located in Barcelona.
The investigation was originally connected with David Garcia Dapena, a professional cyclist, that tested positive for EPO after the 2010 Vuelta a Espana. It was confirmed that David Garcia Dapena had high hematocrit levels that indicated about application of EPO.
Garcia didn’t deny administration of the banned drug. He collaborated with the police. The cyclist admitted that he had purchased medications with performance-enhancing effects from the doctor Alberto Beltran Nino.
It was discovered that Beltran had been the leader of an organization focused on sophisticated doping. This organization supplied cyclists and other sportspeople with banned drugs. It was also determined that several athletes that took part in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2010 Vuelta a Espana, the 2009 Tour du Portugal and the 2012 Spanish Athletics Championships belonged to the group of persons who got steroids and other controlled substances from this doping organization.
It was even earlier supposed that Beltran supplied sportspersons with steroids and other controlled substances and taught them how to avoid detection. This doctor was arrested in Italy after he was caught driving his car which was full of steroids and other doping medications.
The Portuguese professional cyclist Nuno Ribeiro accused the physician Beltran in injecting him with banned preparations after he tested positive for CERA in 2009.
Jose Luis Blanco, a sprinter, assisted in the steroid investigation which had been led against Beltran after this runner tested positive for EPO at the 2012 Spanish Athletics Championships.
Beltran moved to Bahrain in 2009. Since that time the physician had no any direct contact with any sportsperson.
Nonetheless, the police suspect that he has established a team of intermediaries in various countries. They have bought steroids and other related medicines and supplied top sportspersons with them.
Beltran was detained in Madrid in March 2012 by police. He was caught possessing AICAR and TB-500.
Although no any athlete has tested positive for these products, it is suspected that some athletes have intended to utilize these drugs.

Brian McNamee claims that coaches are responsible for widespread of steroid use

Brian McNamee claims that coaches are the chief persons who induce usage of anabolic steroids. The convicted distributor of steroids claims that coaches have the most relevant influence on decisions of young sportspeople to apply banned medications. Their influence is bigger than one of street dealers who offer prohibited medicines for sales, trying to convince young individuals that they may have great success due to administration of these medicines. Brian McNamee supposes that trainers and the society teach young athletes that they must win at any cost. This aspect pressures students that are involved in sports. It promotes causing their decision to apply steroids and other related medications.
Brian McNamee was invited to share his point of view at the Nassau Counselors Association’s conference. He had a speech  during a presentation which was called “Creating a Safe Environment for Our Student-Athletes”. He received an honorarium of 200 dollars. McNamee donated this sum of money to the Taylor Hooton Foundation.
McNamee is known better as a trainer that has injected Roger Clemens with anabolic steroids and HGH. It was reported that he saved all syringes and vials which were used for injecting Roger Clemens with steroids during about 7 years. Brian McNamee supported accusations of federal prosecutors against Clemens.
The testimony of McNamee induced publishing the Mitchell Report on steroids in the Major League Baseball. The Report was worth of 20 million dollars. It was publicized in December 2007. Affirmations of Brian McNamee and Kirk Radomski represented the base for publishing the report. They provided evidence related to administration of steroids in professional baseball. These persons were enforced to collaborate with investigators of the Mitchell Report. It was their agreement that was achieved because of charges related to steroids.
The agreement also requires testimony of McNamee as a government witness in the trial of Roger Clemens. He couldn’t say details linked with the case of Roger Clemens during the Nassau Counselors Association. But the time will come, when he tells the story connected with Clemens.
Although it was declared a mistrial in the first trial linked with the case of Roger Clemens, it was scheduled another trial.

Alex Rodriquez and Brian Bosworth made the list of the most despised Seattle’s sportspersons

A list of the most detested sportspersons of Seattle was made by the Seattle post-intelligencer newspaper. Knowing about attitude to usage of steroids, it is surprisingly that only two users of steroids  were included in the list. Application of steroids by these two sportspersons was not the reason to write them in the list of the most scorned Seattle’s athletes. Nevertheless, it must have influenced.
These two athletes from the list were “The Boz” Bosworth and Alex “A-Rod” Rodriquez.
It became evident that Bosworth was a steroid user after Nandrolone metabolites had been found in his urine sample in 1986. Brian Bosworth was one of the other 20 football players that were caught using prohibited preparations in 1986. It resulted in Bosworth’s ban to play for Oklahoma Sooners in 1987.
Bosworth noted that he had used Deca Durabolin which had been prescribed by his doctor in order to get recovery from an injury. This person affirmed that it was the first time that he used steroids.
Brian Bosworth obtained the 1985 and 1986 Butkus Award.
This football player came in connection with Seattle, when he obtained the Seahawks a 10-year contract. But his career was ended due to an injury. He retired from playing football professionally in 1989 after he had played 24 games for this team. His case was claimed to be one of the most significant busts in NFL history.
Another person that was named in the list of the most detested Seattle’s sportspersons was Alex Rodriquez. He got the nickname “A-Rod”. The nickname was given by a Seattle Mariners’ player. Alex Rodriquez had a significant success in Seattle. He came to the Seattle Mariners right after High School at the age of 17. Everyone was excited by his skills. He played for the Calgary Cannons and the Tacoma Rainiers. Alex Rodriquez continued to succeed but he left Seattle due to desire to get more money. It made him the most scorned sportsperson of Seattle. He signed a contract with the Texas Rangers in 2000. It was the most profitable contract which had ever been got in sports history.
The news that was reported in February 2009 shocked everybody.  It was noted that Alex Rodriquez tested positive for the anabolic steroids Testosterone and Primobolan during a testing in the MLB.
The writer Roberts affirmed in her book related to Alex Rodriquez that he had utilized steroids in high school to bulk up.
Alex Rodriquez acknowledged that he had taken anabolic steroids but he noticed that he had administered them only from 2001 to 2003.
In fact, there were some other reasons that led to the fact that Alex Rodriquez and Brian Bosworth were included in the list of the most detested athletes of Seattle. But their links with steroids gave possibility to blame these sportspersons again.

Amateur baseball players from the Dominican Republic are lured to use steroids to get a contract for playing in the MLB

The Major League Baseball tries to do everything to prevent intake of steroids. It desires to nip doping in the bud. Then it will be able to achieve the big show. A location where the efforts of the MLB are used and clearly seen is the Dominican Republic.
Those that live in the Dominican Republic want to play professional baseball in the U. S. This is not only a dream. This desire becomes real. So, the whole family changes the location where the family lives. Unluckily, a lot of individuals are lured to use steroids and other related medications which enhance performance to reach their goal.
The Dominican Republic is a country in which a lot of people use steroids and other medicines that increase performance. That’s why an athlete from this location is asked whether he has applied steroids or other related medicines. Undoubtedly, this person claims that he has never doped because tests are performed and everybody fears to be caught using any controlled substance.
The MLB subjects to tests athletes from the Dominican Republic. So, one year 13 persons out of 40 tested amateur sportspersons from this location tested positive. The MLB plans to tests Dominicans and to punish those who dope.
It is proclaimed that the number of Dominicans that are sent to the MLB is significantly higher than the number of players that are sent from all countries of the Latin America.
The MLB tries to push steroids out of baseball. Amateur players are educated about dangers for their health linked with steroids. They are educated about negative effects which can be caused by steroids.
The financial position of the Dominican Republic is a great problem in this situation. The average wage is approximately 8, 5000 dollars per year there. To receive a signing bonus of 180, 000 dollars is a true achievement for any player from this Republic. That’s why athletes from the Dominican Republic are especially lured to dope for such perspectives. They want to obtain a contract for playing professional baseball in the MLB. They desire to obtain it for well-being of their families and for improvement of their lives in future. Signing a contract means moving from a rented small house to a private home, from poverty to normal life, from travelling by public transport to driving own car.
Actually, intake of steroids is not a problem only in the Dominican Republic. It is a trouble which destroys the whole world. No one athlete may be sure whether he competes against an individual who has natural skills and talents or against an individual who dopes. That’s why it is necessary to nip intake of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs in the bud.
Youth should be taught about risks connected with doping not only in the Dominican Republic or only in the U. S. but everywhere.

The US Attorney’s Office closed the case related to Lance Armstrong

The case against Lance Armstrong connected with doping is proclaimed to be closed. This athlete remains to be considered a 7-time winner at Tour de France.
It is known that federal prosecutors tried to determine whether Lance Armstrong and his teammates have taken part in a doping program. The duration of the investigation has been approximately 2 years.
Lance Armstrong denied that he has used forbidden drugs. The accusations against this cyclist threatened to his athletic career as well as to his Foundation of cancer research and support. The efforts to prove that this person used steroids were in vain.
This cyclist noticed that he had heard that the US Attorney’s Office decided to close the case. He noted that it was a right decision. Armstrong mentioned that he was waiting to continue his usual life, being a father, a competitor and an advocate in the fight against cancer.
Andre Birote, an attorney announced during a press conference that the US Attorney’s Office closed the investigation connected with the case of Lance Armstrong. This person didn’t notice about any reason of this decision. But he indicated that previous similar investigations were also closed.
For example, the investigation linked with Barry Bonds was claimed to be unsuccessful. Prosecutors couldn’t prove that this athlete had cheated about usage of steroids. As for the case connected with Roger Clemens, the trial was indicated for another time because the judge announced about previous mistrial.
Investigators thought that a doping program was formed by Armstrong’s team. They wanted to determine whether it was so as they thought. Authorities investigated whether Lance Armstrong encouraged or induced doping.
In fact, prosecutors tried to find out whether Armstrong and his team broke federal conspiracy and fraud charges. While Barry Bonds testified before a federal grand jury and Clemens testified before Congress, Lance Armstrong wasn’t forced to testify before a grand jury. Barry Bonds and Clemens were charged with lying under oath.
Frank, a former teammate of Lance Armstrong, and her wife Betsy Andreu charged Armstrong with intake of forbidden medicines. They confirmed that they were shocked by the decision to close the investigation. They concluded that such situations happened due to power of money.

Ryan Braun tested positive for steroids

However Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers faces a suspension for intake of anabolic steroids, he accepted his Most Valuable Player Award at the dinner of Baseball Writers Association. This sportsman didn’t acknowledge to usage of forbidden drugs. Ryan Braun noticed that he had become a victim of a false positive. This baseball player fights against the results that have been announced.
Altough it has been recently discussed whether steroid users are allowed to be voted for Baseball’s Hall of Fame, they don’t lose their Most Valuable Player awards. Even admitted steroid users keep their MVP awards.
Jack O’Connell proclaimed that Ryan Braun would be permitted to receive the MVP awards. Earlier other users of steroids were permitted also to keep their MVP awards. For example, Ken Caminity kept his 1996 MVP award; Alex Rodriquez kept his 2003 MVP award. Both these sportspersons admitted that they had administrated steroids.
According to testosterone: epitestosterone (T: E) ratio, Ryan Braun had enhanced level of testosterone in October 2011. The T: E ratio has manifested about exogenous type of testosterone. In fact, this test can’t manifest real amount of used testosterone.
Another method of testing was used by the World Anti-Doping Agency accredited lab in Montreal to confirm the analysis of the T: E ratio testing. It was applied carbon isotope ratio testing which confirmed about existence of exogenous testosterone.
Numerous sportswriters thought that Ryan Braun should have left his MVP awards due to the positives for prohibited drugs. But this player made another decision. He decided to accept the awards and address with the speech about false accusations in administration of steroids. This player said that characters of individuals are revealed in such situations of adversary. Ryan Braun claimed that he had a great respect to baseball. Ryan Braun added that he made a lot for his career in this sport but he had done everything with respect and appreciation to baseball.
It was said that Ryan Braun had been one of the youngest players of the Major League Baseball who didn’t need to use steroids to be capable to play. When this player heard about positive of Alex Rodriquez for steroids, he was very surprised. He mentioned that Alex Rodriquez should have been enough honest to say about intake of prohibited medicines.
Ryan Braun made a decision to fight against the results of his tests, claiming that unusual circumstances surrounded this case. He mentioned that he would display his innocence and false positives.

King Mo Lawal denies steroid use

Quinton Rampage Jackson and King Mo Lawal don’t like each other. They didn’t manifest their negative attitude to each other for several years. During an interview Lawal noted about their relationships, mentioning that he doesn’t have good opinion about Rampage Jackson that also doesn’t like him.
That’s why it isn’t surprisingly at all that Rampage Jackson expressed his thoughts about the fact related to Lawal’s positive for drostanolone (Masterone).
Jackson mentioned that it was quite obvious that King Mo Lawal had used steroids. He said that Lawal wasn’t a real fighter. He applied steroids to have ability to fight.
Rampage Jackson claimed that there were fighters that were allowed to use steroids. He referred to those who had to use steroids for testosterone replacement therapy. This person said that it was a great difference between purposes. Fighters and other sportspeople are allowed to use steroids for TRT and not for enhancement of performance, according to Quinton Rampage Jackson.
This mixed martial artist notes that there are people who suffer from certain health troubles. They consult their physicians who prescribe steroids. They administrate these medications to be relieved from health problems and to stay competitive. But Jackson adds that there are fighters that administrate steroids in order to increase their performance. It is quite sadly, according to this mixed martial artist.
Nonetheless, intake of steroids for hormone replacement therapy by athletes is a quite controversial issue.
Such fighters, as Dennis Hallman, Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt and Dan Henderson acknowledged that they had administrated steroids because of hypogonadism.
So, Rampage Jackson is a fighter who claimed about permission to use steroids as a part of TRT by sportspersons. But there are other fighters that don’t support this opinion. A lot of athletes have the same opinion as Michael Bisping has. They claim that steroid use is just justified by clinical conditions. They believe that all fighters who take anabolic steroids, noting that they are on TRT, are liars.
King Mo Lawal says that he is not guilty, claiming that his manager has heard nothing about the steroid Masterone. Both this fighter and his manager claim that they are really surprised by the results of the test.
A fight between Jackson and Lawal was waiting by many fans. There were some rumors that they would fight in February, 2012. But the hopes of fans were not justified. Lawal has to serve a ban.

However Tom Verducci claims that doping makes competitions unfair, he has voted for a steroid user

The American sportswriter Tom Verducci says about debates linked with possibility of steroid users to be chosen for the Baseball Hall of Fame. But as it usually happens, this explanation manifests just confusion of reporters about steroids.
The Baseball Writers Association of America (BWAA) is a professional association of baseball journalists who elect players for the National Baseball Hall of Fame. All sportswriters who are members of the BWAA already not less than 10 years have possibility to vote for up to 10 players for the Hall of Fame.
Recently it was a debate between members of the BWAA. They discussed whether admitted or only suspected users of steroids and other prohibited medications might entry into Cooperstown.
Members of the BWAA usually should comment their votes: they have to explain why they have voted pro or contra certain issues. Some of them claim that doping destructs the integrity of sports and usage of forbidden medicines is frequently claimed by them to be immoral.
As for Tom Verducci, he doesn’t think that intake of steroids is necessarily a moral question. He says that steroids help consumers to take unfair advantage over those who don’t dope. According to this sportswriter, performance-enhancing drugs make competitions unfair. So, usage of prohibited products induces unfairness in sports. That’s why Tom Verducci denies any link between doping and morality. This sportswriter confirms that it is a question that is linked with performance but not to morality. So, Verducci supposes that consumers of steroids must not be allowed to be in the Hall of Fame. But he has voted for Jeff Bagwell, an admitted steroid user. This athlete has acknowledged that he had used androstenedione. It is necessary to note that this medication was not classified as an anabolic steroid, when Bagwell administrated it. According to the Control Act 2004, it is listed among forbidden preparations. Since it wasn’t legally considered to be a steroid, Verducci decided to vote for the consumer of this medication; however, it was always called an anabolic-androgenic steroid by scientists. Furthermore, it was said that Bagwell just became bigger but didn’t promote his performance due to usage of androstenedione.
Nevertheless, the decision of Verducci to vote for the admitted consumer of the steroid is quite controversial. The following question appears: “Maybe Tom Verducci is not against usage of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs by athletes?” Since this sportswriter doesn’t believe that doping is a moral question, he may suppose that enhancement of performance is not a real problem.
Numerous persons suggest that usage of steroids represents evil because they are illegal.

Intake of controlled substances by surfers

Anabolic steroids are taken by surfers too. Sport governing body announces that controlled preparations are a great problem in this sport. That’s why the Association of Surfing Professionals made a decision to implicate testing for anabolic steroids and other prohibited drugs which are used for increase of performance.
The Association of Surfing Professionals had some discussions with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). They asked how they could introduce testing for banned products into surfing. Since anti-doping program of the WADA is claimed to be the best policy, the surfing organization intends to apply this protocol. Undoubtedly, this is the next victory of the WADA which contributes in the opportunity to manage anti-doping programs in sports.
It is known that surfing is a competitive sport. So, strength, speed and endurance are main abilities that promote winning. So, surfers could think that administration of anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs promotes success greatly. It is also necessary to take in consideration that amount of money that is received by winners is large. Winners obtain no less than 100, 000 dollars. Desire to get money could lead surfers to decision to administrate anabolic steroids.
Nonetheless, it is said that usage of anabolic steroids and other medications that increase performance is not widespread in surfing. A lot of individuals believe that administration of recreational drugs is more widespread among surfers than intake of steroids. Sport of 1970s and 1980s was oftan associated with marijuana and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). Current facts justify this impression. The number of surfers who are caught administrating marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine is quite enhanced.
Andi Irons, a professional surfer, died in November 2010. A heart attack that he had was caused by drug abuse. It was determined that steroids hadn’t been involved in this fatal case. Traces of methamphetamine, cocaine and methadone metabolites were found in his system.
Another surfer, Peter Davi, died in December 2007. Enhanced levels of meth were also found in his system.
As for the professional surfer Anthony Ruffo, he was caught distributing meth.
Only the professional surfer from Brazil Neco Padaratz was caught taking steroids. He was sentenced to one-year ban. This person tested positive for prohibited drugs in 2004. This surfer said that he had administrated these products to get a complete recovery from back injuries. In spite of his defense, he was sentenced to a ban. He was the first individual who was caught taking steroids by the Association of Surfing Professionals. According to numerous sources, he remains to be the only surfer who has ever been caught by the ASP.
The ASP has already the initial budget for introduction of the WADA steroid program into surfing.
While it is unlikely that steroids represent a problem in surfing, the new drug-testing program may create a wrong public impression.

Anabolic steroids should not be demonized for Hegstrand’s death

The Road Warriors, a professional wrestling tag team, were first that introduced bodybuilding-type muscularity in this sport. This tag team was composed of Hawk (Mike Hegstrand) and Animal (Joe Laurinaitis). Hegstrand died in 2003. The death of this person was sudden because of a heart attack. This person died at the age of 46. As it is known, popular media usually writes about deaths of professional wrestlers, connecting the cases with administration of anabolic steroids. The death of Hegstrand was not an exception. After his death many articles appeared in newspapers which demonized anabolic steroids for this case.
Joe “Animal” Laurinaitis admitted to administration of steroids by this professional wrestling team. But he confirmed that these medications hadn’t caused Hegstrand’s death. He added that other conditions were responsible for Hegstrand’s death as well as deaths of other wrestlers. Joe Laurinaitis noticed that such drugs, as cocaine and Xanax had to be demonized for such cases. Laurinaitis claimed that he wanted to explain that steroids had not been connected with death of Hegstrand.
Joe Laurinaitis noted that cocaine and Xanax had contributed in the death of this professional wrestler. He also said that these drugs caused deaths of such individuals, as Henning, Rick Rude and Davey Boy Smith. According to Joe Laurinaitis, administration of cocaine frequently leads to intake of morphine. These drugs corrupt health completely and cause heart attacks.
Why must affirmation of Laurinaitis be true? He was in Australia with Hegstrand. He knows about what he tells. Recently this wrestler joined to Andrew William Wright to say about his experiences with “Hawk”.

If steroid dealers were cautious, they could prevent arrests

Distribution of anabolic steroids without any prescription to increase performance is illegal in United States. If anybody wants to sell these medications and is implicated in operations related to the steroid black market, this individual takes risks having serious problems. But there are also ways to avoid or lower risks being caught by police officers.
Steroid dealers have to follow all traffic rules. This aspect is very important. If a person violates any traffic rule, driving his vehicle, police officials’ attention will be attracted on this action. Imagine what happens: when anyone violates speed limit laws, he/she will be stopped by police officials. Furthermore, if this individual also smokes pot with his friend, driving the vehicle and violating traffic laws, drug-sniffing dogs will be probably brought to determine whether there are any drugs in the car.
Furthermore, clever steroid dealers store the all preparations, the price list and the customer list in a safe place. But if several distributors of steroids keep all these things in the car in which they were smoking pot, violating speed limit rules, they will be caught possessing steroids illegally with intentions to distribute them. Then the troubles begin.
Steroid dealers may think that it isn’t required to describe such advices because it goes without any saying that all distributors of illegal drugs comprehend these precautions. But real facts show that some distributors of steroids make such mistakes and that’s why they are caught.
A case will be presented further. Deputies of Yavapai County Sheriff Office stopped a vehicle driven by Johnson because this man violated certain traffic laws. The deputies supposed that there might be contraband in this car. The suppositions were justified. Marijuana, some 10-ml vials of the steroid testosterone and syringes were found in this cat. Some documents founded in the vehicle showed that the amounts of steroids were at the price of over 3,000 dollars.
