Ismael Melendez was sentenced to 9-year imprisonment for weapons’ charge in 2005. This man was an inmate there. Recently This man was accused in supplying prisoners with anabolic steroids. He promoted distribution of illegal preparations inside and even outside the prison in New York. This man faces charges of prison contraband, illegal possession of forbidden medications and illegal possession of syringes.
It was found out that Richard Finley, Melendez’ substance abuse counselor, had participated in the criminal activity of Melendez. This person served over 10 years for the Cape Vincent prison. The substance abuse canselor helped him to sell anabolic steroids outside the prison. He was arrested in November 2011. It happened when the substance abuse counselor had caught during selling anabolic steroids to a man in a certain car lot.
Melendez sent his substance abuse counselor to deliver certainprohibited medicines to a client. The purchase was made in a certain shopping centre.
Of course, a question may appear: Why did Finley begin to sell forbidden medications?
Finley admitted why he helped Melendez . The inmate promised to give him HGH and 1500 dollars. It would have been given as exchange for promotion of smuggling alcohol, anabolic steroids and creatine inside the prison. But the substance abuse counselor was arrested by the police and charged with possession of illegal medicines and a hypodermic instrument.
Finley made also another great mistake. He brought his little child of 7 years old, when he was involved in the drug deal. That’s why Finley was also accused in endangering the welfare of a child.
This led to a suspension of Finley from his work without any pay. Thus, this person lost the well-paying work. As it is known, Finley got more than 52, 000 dollars per one year.
The inmate was transferred to another jail. This person continues to serve his sentence.
